In 1857 the 14th Native Infantry stationed at Jhelum town mutinied, and exhibited a vigorous defence versus a pressure sent from Rawalpindi to disarm them, but decamped for that night time pursuing the motion, with the principle human body becoming subsequently arrested by the Kashmiri authorities, into whose territory they'd escaped. They had been
